Date: 11/11/2006
Zip Code: 60644, Chicago, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished floors in four rooms plus hallways on two floors plus stairway. This was old veneer (3/8 inch) hardwood flooring with some damage.
Replacement flooring was not available; I had to pull flooring out of a closet.
COMMENTS: They came out promptly to estimate the job. They were willing to repair and refinish the existing floor, where another company only wanted to
install a new one. They did a fine job on both repairing and refinishing.

Date: 10/30/2006
Zip Code: 60712, Lincolnwood, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished hardwood floors in all rooms on first floor of Bungalow, except kitchen & bath, approximately 800 square feet. Rehabilitated and refinished
the original maple floors in our approximately 180 square foot kitchen.
COMMENTS: The Chicagoland Flooring team arrived on time finished in the time frame that was estimated, and the finished product is beautiful. It's like a brand
new floor! We had used them before to refinish the original floors in the main part of our house and they did an excellent job. When it came time to remodel the kitchen,
we ripped up five layers of linoleum to get to the original maple floor. It looked absolutely beyond repair, just horrendous. I was skeptical that anything could be salvaged.
But after expert look at it, within 48 hours we had a beautiful floor. Everyone who visits thinks the floor is brand new when they see it, not 86 years old.

Date: 10/26/2006
Zip Code: 60626, Chicago, IL, Rogers Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: We had two upstairs bedrooms refinished. The company removed the old linoleum first, sanded/polyurethaned, and also installed new flooring in a sun room
where there had not been hardwood before.
COMMENTS: Overall it went well and we are very pleased with the results. The work took two days longer than expected, because of the linoleum removal and the new installation.
We had a good consultation and service from the owner
of Chicagoland Flooring, who prepared us and gave us heads up and options beforehand. His workmen were courteous and did high quality work.

Date: 10/25/2006
Zip Code: 60201, Evanston, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Hardwood floor in living room, dining room, two bedrooms and a hallway were all buffed and re-coated with urethane.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring was extremely helpful over the phone, providing a prompt estimate for service. Unlike another company I contacted, they did not try to talk
me into additional work. In addition, their quote was competitive with other companies I called. They were able to schedule the job the following week and showed up on time,
completing the work as described. They offered advice for maintenance and even followed up with an email offering further advice, if needed. After a week and a half, the floor
continues to look great.

Date: 10/18/2006
Zip Code: 60610, Chicago, IL, River North
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Refinished very old and beat-up looking hardwood floor. About 800 sq. ft. They sanded it, replaced pieces that needed replacement, filled gaps with putty
where needed and added three coats system. No staining. The pictures attached are of the floor "Before". I do not have at hand pictures of the floor after, but believe me: it
now looks fantastic!
COMMENTS: I would hire Chicagoland Flooring again in an instant with no hesitation. He is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We could not move all our furniture out, so
he helped us find the best way to divide the job to make it in two phases (all the furniture in one area while the other is re-finished and then the other way around) without
leaving any marks showing the joint between the two areas.
The owner also helped us select the best color for our finished floor (natural in our case, no stain), even when the selected option meant less business for him.
The team replaced several wood pieces that would have not looked good with the normal refinishing process. They filled some gaps that existed between different pieces of wood.
I felt comfortable leaving them work at home by themselves and they kept the key for the time that the job took. I did not have any problem. The job was done on time, within budget
and most important: the final result is astonishing! I highly recommend it.

Date: 9/13/2006
Zip Code: Lakeview, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Chicagoland Flooring came out to repair a 2" circular stain in my red oak floor caused by water.
The owner, checked to make sure there was no water damage in the immediate area, then sanded the stain out and re-coated the area with a water-based polyurethane.
He also provided me some advice on some other scratches and nicks in my floor.
COMMENTS: I truly enjoyed meeting the owner of Chicagoland Flooring, and was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge.
He agreed to meet with me on a hasty schedule because I had renters moving in to
the property. I would highly recommend Chicagoland Flooring Inc, and will call the company again when it is time for my floors to be refinished.

Zip Code: 60637, Chicago, IL, Hyde Park
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: I had the nice workers from Chicagoland come and tear off old linoleum flooring in a 20' x 10' space and re-do the wood floors underneath.
COMMENTS: The job was scheduled incredibly quickly, performed perfectly by a very trustworthy crew of cheerful, smart, fun-to-talk-to men. They were professional, cleaned
up, worked fast. I was totally satisfied and am having them return to do some more work in our old home.

Date: 7/6/2006
Zip Code: 60201, Evanston, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Removed old carpet, installed solid wood flooring in three
bedrooms and hallway.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring was not the cheapest nor the most expensive
($1500 less than my most expensive bid. Just the BEST. They are a small outfit
and provide the BEST customer service and have outstanding knowledge. We have
a 3 year old row house and was concerned about the quality of the installation
and matching existing wood floors. Honest and trustful. They were on time,
completed in three days, were very neat and I ALWAYS got an update phone call
everyday on the works progress. If every sub contractor was as good as Chicagoland
Flooring there would be no need for Angie's List. Great work! Outstanding service
and installation. I was told that there would be nicks to our walls and a lot of
dust because of some tight quarters. They were VERY careful and very clean. We
had NO damage from them and they had to move the wood floors up three flights of
narrow freshly painted stairs.

questions we had. Work was done on schedule, with a minimum of mess.

Zip Code: 60645, Lake Forest, IL
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: I'm selling my house and have a dishwasher leak which has
impacted my wood floor. The representative spent 15 minutes speaking with me about
the best course of action, possible options and possible costs. He was very
knowledgeable and reassuring. If I need to do the work, I know where I'll go. This
is important since I've relocated out of town.

Date: 4/14/2006
Zip code: 60659, Chicago, IL North Park/ Budlong Woods
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Sanding and refinishing of 3 rooms of oak hardwood flooring.
Opted for 4 coats of water-based urethane.
COMMENTS: Chicagoland Flooring was on time to make an initial inspection and estimate. Estimate was efficiently submitted to
me by e-mail later that same day. Although his estimate was not the lowest (it was in the middle),
the owner was a
thorough professional, answering all of my questions and bringing samples of his work, along with his credentials
and professional licenses and affiliations. I felt comfortable enough to leave his crew to do its work while
I went on vacation. They showed up on time the day I was leaving and went right to work. When I returned, I found
the floors in beautiful condition. In the one room where there had been patches of unfinished wood, I couldn't
tell where they had been! Other than the sanding dust on the walls (which I had been told in advance that I would
be responsible for wiping down), the house was in clean condition. I would recommend this company highly.
